FAQs

I’m interested in getting fitter but I don’t like working out in a gym?

No worries! I am a personal trainer and have spent many years working in a gym setting, but since starting my own business I have diversified. The bottom line is, you’ll be more consistent with movement if you enjoy what you’re doing. Maybe that means at home workouts, or yoga, or walking. Maybe it means joining dance classes or trying rock climbing. I can help support you in finding the movement that feels right, and help you get consistent with it. I also love to help clients find balance when they’re exploring untraditional exercise

I’ve tried a hundred diets and they haven’t worked, how is this different?

First of all, no diets here. Restrictive dieting has been proven over and over again NOT to work. Diet culture feeds you lies, and 95% of the time fails. What I teach is balanced nutrition and Intuitive Eating principles. This teaches you how to listen to your body, remove all policing and restriction of food, and how to find balance with joy and health.

I’m a total beginner, never worked out. Is this program for me?

Absolutely! I love working with beginners, you improve SO FAST! Both my virtual group classes are appropriate for everyone from total beginners to more advanced exercisers, with structure that allows you to choose how difficult it is. My 12 week program and personal training are both completely tailored to you and where you’re at, so you can be sure we’ll start slow and build gradually so you don’t get hurt or overwhelmed!

I’ve done a bunch of different programs, but they never stick. How is this one going to get me to exercise consistently?

Most programs are designed to be temporary. Temporary actions lead to temporary results. My programs are different. My 12 week program has a weaning system available to help you learn to keep your consistency on your own gradually, until you don’t need me at all anymore. My programming is designed to not only give you well-balanced workouts, but teach proper technique and lot’s of variety so you can learn what you like to do. The classes are also an affordable way to keep consistent by having a live class to show up to. Many clients continue with one or two classes a week after other programs as a way to keep that routine.
